Strength in weakness
Bible reading: 2 Corinthians 12:1-10
“For when I am weak, then am I strong.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:10

Weakness is not our end; it can be a new beginning in which we experience the power of God.
Our weaknesses are not signs of failure; they are doorways through which God’s power is revealed. The apostle Paul did not hide his weaknesses or grumble about them. Instead, he gladly accepted the insults, hardships and sufferings that came to him for Christ’s sake.
He knew that God’s power begins to work at the very place where human strength comes to an end.
In our lives too, weakness, failure and pressure can wear us down. But when we take our eyes off the problems and fix them on Christ who strengthens us, we can live victoriously even in weakness.
Let us not be ashamed of our weaknesses, but hand them over to the Lord. Where we cannot, He can; when our strength runs low, His grace will hold us up.
Prayer
Beloved, when our strength fails, let us say to the Lord: “Let Your power be seen in our weakness. Help us not to lose heart in hard times, but to live leaning on Your grace. Turn our weaknesses into testimonies of Your power.” He will surely strengthen us.
